South-east Asian puppetry is deeply religious and mystic

funeral ceremony.
The performances, normally about Ramayana , Mahabharata
or the Jatakas tales , takes several days…
Tha puppeteer acts as a priest, and the puppets
themselves are most of the time sacred objets.
The TARANEYA COLLECTION includes more than 200 puppets
